TYLER CHECK

Tyler is an actor, singer, musician, and writer originally from Kingston Ontario. Previous theatre credits include: Kitsault (Al Green Theatre), Canada 151 (Mayfield Dinner Theatre), All You Need is Love & Rock n Roll (RuBarb Productions), Kings & Queens of Country (Drayton Entertainment), Marathon of Hope (Drayton Entertainment), Million Dollar Quartet (Stage West/Drayton Entertainment/Mirvish), Forever Plaid (Starvox/Stirling Festival Theatre), Spamalot (Stephenville Theatre Festival).

Along with performing Tyler works as a writer and is the Artistic Director of Suitcase Theatre where he is currently developing a new TYA show discussing bullying and mental health that will tour through schools in fall 2019. His previous show All Aboard! about three explorers on a journey across Canada aboard the “Learning Locomotive” toured throughout Toronto as well as out to New Brunswick and down to New York. Outside of Suitcase Theatre Tyler's show Liam: the Musical about an 18-year-old boy with non-verbal autism has had several workshops at Buddies In Bad Times Theatre and the Stephenville Theatre Festival as well as a production in Toronto through No Strings Theatre and a school tour in Burlington. Tyler was most recently commissioned by George Brown College to write the music & lyrics for their most recent TYA show based on the stories of Robert Munsch. He has also worked in their theatre department as the Head of Music working with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year acting students.
