Stephanie Bergeron is a multi-hyphenate artist based in the GTA- dancer, actor, singer, choreographer, adjudicator, and dance instructor. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts- Honours in Dance from Ryerson University (under the direction of Nadia Potts), and is proud to be a member of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association (CAEA) and of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance (PAA). Ms. Bergeron is also a Certified Progressing Ballet Technique Instructor (PBT).
Ms. Bergeron is an incredibly versatile and well-rounded performer. Having trained as a competitive dancer for many years, she earned numerous top overall awards and scholarship titles in many disciplines. Now a professional artist, she is proud to have worked with a number of notable choreographers, including Serge Bennathan, Daniela Kurz, Katharina Bader, Allison Grant, Matjash Mrozewski, David Earle, Valerie Calam, Robert Glumbek, and Shannon Mather.
Ms. Bergeron regularly performs throughout Ontario, with recent credits including: The Canadian Opera Company, Telus, Manulife, Bell Technical Solutions, Honda, WestJet, Estée Lauder, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sunlife Financial, Yonge-Dundas Square (Illuminite), Toronto Pearson Airport (Rethink T3 Opening Ceremony), Cineplex/TIFF, and several independent films.
Ms. Bergeron has extensive experience teaching and choreographing competitively, recreationally, privately, and in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary educational settings. Emphasizing jazz, lyrical, and ballet, and incorporating influences from her vast and varied training, Ms. Bergeron’s choreography is known for its musicality, complexity, and class. She has held the position of Professor for Centennial College- Dance Performance, and has been invited as a Recurring Guest Artist and Commissioned Choreographer for Unionville High School, Claude Watson Dance at Earl Haig Secondary, Alexander Mackenzie High School, and Westmount Collegiate, as Rehearsal Mistress for Ballet Jorgen’s The Nutcracker, and as a Guest Artist for many workshops and master classes across Ontario.
Ms. Bergeron’s choreography has been featured at Disneyland California, Harbourfront Centre Toronto, Pan-Am Global Fest, and in a multitude of theatres and competitive events. Many of her students have gone on to earn top competitive awards and First Overall placements, and have been accepted into such programs as Arts Unionville, the National Ballet School Associates Program, and the dance programs at Ryerson University, York University, Concordia University, and George Brown College.
Ms. Bergeron regularly appears as a Ballet Specialist and All-Around Adjudicator at competitions throughout Ontario.
