SAMANTHA RYAN CAMPBELL

Samantha Ryan is a natural performer and engaging teacher who embraces all dance has to offer. A former gymnast, turned dance entertainer, hails from Windsor, but not before stops in LA, Michigan, and NYC in an effort to discover what a career in dance might look like.

Samantha Ryan completed the Broadway Dance Centre International Student Visa Professional Program in NYC before she made her decision to move to Toronto and explore opportunities as an aspiring professional and hasn’t looked back. She has gained certification as an instructor in Acrobatic Arts and Cecchetti ballet. She is on Faculty with Dance Attack and is a qualified dance adjudicator with the Professional Adjudicators Alliance. Samantha Ryan continues to teach in studio, at workshops and on contract for schools within the Toronto District School Board. In addition to teaching, Samantha Ryan is often contracted to create choreography for competitive soloists, teams and school play ensembles. Choreography for school stage productions have so far included Annie, Shrek, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan and The Lion King. In addition to teaching and doing choreography, Samantha is a professional entertainer as well. She a member of ACTRA and Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists. She has experience on stage and in front of the camera, having only recently wrapped up filming in Toronto as a dancer for the movie Work It, a coming of age dance comedy scheduled for release on Netflix in 2021.

When not training at The Underground Dance Centre, City Dance Corps and DanceLifeX, you can find Samantha performing as a lead dancer with Dark Dance Company, Unapologetic Dance Collective and also by invitation with some of Toronto’s most revered dancers at the industry’s most celebrated events including Toronto’s Choreographers Ball and Fever after Dark.
