JESS VANDENBERG

Jessica has enjoyed performing, choreographing, adjudicating, and teaching professionally all over Canada, the US, and the Caribbean. Jess grew up in Ottawa training in many forms of dance at Kanata Ballet School and Les Petits Ballet. After graduating high school and attending Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, (training in dance performance and pedagogy, whilst cheerleading professionally) she began a career in Music Theatre.

A proud member of CAEA and ACTRA, her favourite performing credits include the World Premier Production of Disney's Toy Story: The Musical Disney Imagineering (Legs), It's a WonderfulLife Sudbury Theatre Centre (Violet), West Side Story Citadel Theatre (Graziella/Anita U/S), The Annual Pantomime at Ottawa's Gladstone Theatre (four years running), Disney Dreams and The Golden Mickeys Disney Cruise Line (various roles), Mary Poppins Citadel Theatre/Theatre Calgary Co-Pro (Glamorous Doll/Miss Smythe/Mrs Corry, Katie Nana U/S) Chicago Stage West Calgary (Liz/Kitty U/S), A Christmas Carol and Everything I Love About Christmas Upper Canada Playhouse (Choreographer, various roles) Cabaret Rose Theatre (Ensemble/Dance Captain), RENT Mirvish (Swing/Mimi, Joanne U/S).

Jessica is a proud Sheridan Institute honours graduate, where she trained in Music Theatre Performance. She was seen there in Sweeney Todd (Lucy Barker/DanceCaptain), Oklahoma! (Dorothy/Asst Choreographer), Love's Labour's Lost (Jaquenetta/Choreographer), and Once Upon A Mattress (Ensemble/Stunt Captain).

Film/TV credits include Lucky 7 (ABC), Hemlock Grove (Netflix), Warehouse13 (SciFi), Suits (USA), Bomb Girls (Global), Make Your Move (CJ Entertainment), Being Erica (CBC), The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe (Lifetime), Snoop Dogg's "La La La" music video, and a number of industrials and commercials. Along with dancing, singing, and acting on stage and screen, she has also voiced video games for Ubisoft.

Jessica has also spent over twelve years assisting and teaching many styles of dance and acro, as well as music theatre, voice, cheerleading, stunts, kindermusic, private audition coaching (vocal, dance, acro, and acting) and fitness classes. On top of substitute teaching at countless studios and schools in the GTA with Quick Ball Change and The Travelling Stage, Jessica has taught all forms of dance and acro in Ottawa at Kanata Ballet School and Ottawa Music Camp, and in the GTA: Peterborough Performing Arts Centre, Suitcase Theatre, Hamilton Conservatory of the Arts, Relever Performing Arts Academy, Dance Kids Canada, You Got Dance, Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, and the figure skating cross training program (ballet) at the prestigious Granite Club. Jessica is also the founder of Beyond Believing Toronto, a children's entertainment company in the GTA.
