JAMIE MURRAY

Jamie is a triple threat performer who has a love of dance, choreography, and teaching. She is a graduate of the prestigious Pace University Musical Theatre program in New York City, where she received a BFA with a major in Musical Theatre and a minor in Commercial Dance. During her time in NYC she worked on multiple productions, including Assistant Director/Assistant Choreographer for the American Girl Live National Tour, and Assistant Choreographer/Dance Captain in Spring Awakening at The Argyle Theatre.

Before traveling to NYC for school, Jamie studied dance in Waterloo and Toronto. She’s trained in: Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Theatre Jazz, Acrobatics, and Hip Hop. Jamie was a member of both Bringing Tap Back dance company, and OIP Dance Centre company, and studied RAD ballet, completing her Advance 2 examination. Jamie’s theatre credits include: six seasons at The Charlottetown Festival including, Anne of Green Gables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mamma Mia, and Kronborg: The Hamlet Rock Musical; Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia (Grand Theatre); and The Music Man, Oliver (Stratford Festival). Jamie is delighted to be back in Canada full-time, and is always excited to share her love of dance through teaching.
