Heather Kosik began dancing at the age of 6. She grew up doing competitive dance and trained heavily in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She began training in piano and voice and competed annually in the Kiwanis Music Festival until she graduated. Heather attended Sheridan College for four years and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre degree. In the summer seasons during school, Heather worked two seasons at the Charlottetown Festival in Prince Edward Island, performing in the Young Company and performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Lower Ossington Theatre in Toronto. She left Sheridan 3 months early to begin rehearsals for Guys and Dolls and H.M.S. Pinafore at the Stratford Festival. In 2018, Heather was seen at the Festival as Zaneeta Shinn in The Music Man. She was also the Swing in The Rocky Horror Show, where she covered six ensemble tracks and understudied the lead role of Janet Weiss, as well as Magenta. Most recently, Heather worked at Drayton Entertainment, in their production of Jack and the Beanstalk: The Panto and at The Grand Theatre in London, ON, where she was a featured dancer in and the Dance Captain of Mary Poppins. This year, Heather is a part of the 2020 Season at the Stratford Festival. Heather will be seen in the World Premiere of the new Canadian musical, Here’s What It Takes, as well as Chicago, where she is playing June and understudying the lead role of Roxie Hart.
