Bethany Kovarik- Dancer, singer, actor is extremely passionate about giving back her skills to younger dancers by teaching the art of dance. She has studied many disciplines of dance including Ballet (RAD), jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop in Kitchener/Waterloo. She extended her training in Toronto, New York, and Los Angeles. Bethany is a proud graduate of the Sheridan Institute’s prestigious Musical Theatre Performance Program. She has had the opportunity to work on the Stratford Festival stage in the shows Crazy For You and The Beaux Stratagem. She will be returning for her second season in Stratford in A Chorus Line and A Little Night Music. Other theatre credits include: Drayton Entertainment; Chicago in the role of ‘Lipshitz’, Dance Legends (also played at The Grand Theatre) , The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan, Stage West Calgary; Summer in the City, Citadel Theatre and Young Peoples Theatre; Seussical the Musical. Bethany also performed in Return to Grace, an Elvis tribute show, and toured internationallyin Bangkok, Thailand. TV and Film credits include Hellcats, Sharpey’s New Adventure, Warrior, Bomb Girls, L.A. Complex, Warehouse 13, and a principal dance double in Make It Happen and Christmas Dance. Bethany has been awarded the Gutherie award at Stratford Festival, Sheridan’s ‘Lindsay Thomas Award’, and was a finalist for K-W Oktoberfest Woman of the Year in ‘Arts and Culture’. Bethany also works at Dance Canada Competition, alongside her family.
That’s what she’s done, but not who she is… Bethany believes in health and wellness, and personal growth and has completed many course based on these values, allowing you to be your best self. She loves educating and mentoring young dancers to be the strongest performer; mentally, emotionally, and physically. Always seeking for adventure and growth, travel and yoga is a big part of her life path.
