AVERY DUPUIS

Avery grew up in Edmonton, Canada where she competed at national dance and singing competitions from a very young age. She previously trained at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto where she won the prestigious Triple Threat Award and distinction in her Diploma in Musical Theatre. She then went on to achieve her Master’s in Musical Theatre Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and shortly after graduating began teaching dance to the masters and bachelor’s degree students. Avery was most recently appointed Head of Dance at the Stardust Academy for the Performing Arts in Amman, Jordan where she choreographed and co-directed the Academy's end of year performances of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Beauty and the Beast

Her theatre credits include: Cabaret, Crazy For You, Chess (Faculty St. Jean, Edmonton) Curtains, Trojan Women (Annex Theatre, Toronto) Naughty Cat and the Cheesy Moon, 9 to 5 (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) Still Game Live 2 Bon Voyage (SSE Hydro, Glasgow). She has performed as a Principal Tap Dancer alongside David Cox at Gregory Hines 10th and 11th Annual Memorial Reunion. Avery is also a passionate choreographer, her work has recently been featured in singer songwriter Hana Malhas music video for her singleNasi, under license to Universal Music MENA. She has also choreographed a range of pieces in numerous styles for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; a contemporary piece and tap piece for the Master’s in Musical Theatre Christmas Show, the Summer Intensive Programs production of The Adams Family and several in house performances ranging from tap, contemporary, jazz, Fosse and modern dance.
