ANNICK ROBLEDO

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Annick is a classical ballerina, musical theater actress, and singer who is currently finishing her fourth-year in the Music Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan College. Annick has had the opportunity to perform in numerous dance shows such as: Amor Brujo, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Hot Jazz, Sleeping Beauty among others in Ballet Clasico Santiago, a Cuban ballet school in her hometown Santiago, where she trained for more than eight years. In 2015, she graduated from Ballet Clasico Santiago obtaining the professional title of classical ballerina and pedagogy in levels I and II. In addition to dance, Annick developed a devotion for musical theatre in her last three years of high school where she performed Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. She later performed in shows such as Aladdin, The Great Gatsby, Rodgers, and Hammerstein’s Cinderella among others in the national theatre of her country. In May 2019, Annick graduated with the Two-Year Enriched Performing Arts Diploma from the Canadian College of Performing Arts where she played Rosalia in the 2019 year-end show West Side Story at the McPherson Playhouse. Annick has worked with several dance companies and theatre summer camps nationally and internationally with the purpose of supporting others to find their passion for dance. Last year she started her own musical theatre summer camp geared towards kids with disabilities in order to provide more opportunities for this specific population.
